The AT&T Byron Nelson Championship takes place at the par 70 Four Seasons Resort in Dallas and features undulating ground, some huge bunkers and several water hazards. The tournament was won three years running by Tom Watson from 1978 to 1980, but it hasn’t produced a two-time winner since 1988. Steven Bowditch is the defending champion and other notable winners include Jason Day and Adam Scott, Jason Dufner and the 2014 champion Brendon Todd.

Jordan Spieth’s return to action at the Players Championship did not go according to plan, but he remains favourite for this event at best price 15/2 with Betfred. Dustin Johnson has finished in the top 10 here in each of the last two years and he is the other player priced in single figures, at 9/1 with Bet365. Matt Kuchar is at 20/1 after finishing third at the Players Championship, with the in-form Charley Hoffman at 25/1 – he was last year’s runner-up – alongside Sergio Garcia.

Ryan PalmerRYAN PALMER has been pretty consistent this season, with his only missed cut coming on his first appearance, although he hasn’t been involved at the business end of too many events. He was fourth at the recent Texas Open, however, and he was just outside the top 20 at Sawgrass. His record here is good too – since being runner-up in 2011 he has earned two further top 10 finishes, including last year. Back him at 45/1 with Bet365.

Colt KnostCOLT KNOST might have won the Players Championship had it not been for the fact that he dumped three balls into the water at the island green 17th on Saturday. As it was, he showed great character to maintain a challenge on Sunday and finish four shots behind winner Jason Day. Having finished 10th here last year, and with a record of one missed cut from 16 outings this season, he’s worth backing at odds of 70/1 with Paddy Power.

Brandt SnedekerBRANDT SNEDEKER‘s season has been something of a mixed bag, with four missed cuts including one at Sawgrass, but he has had plenty of good moments too and that is why he’s 4th in the FedEx Cup standings. He was 2nd and 3rd in the two events in Hawaii at the start of the year and then won the Farmers Insurance event. He was also T10 at Augusta and looks each-way value at 40/1, having finished 6th last year.
