Over the weekend we correctly predicted a 1-1 scoreline in the Norwich v Everton game at 13/2, plus we tipped Newcastle to beat Spurs in the ‘Draw No Bet’ market at the same price. However, we also recommend the 1-1 in that game at 21/2 and so, ironically, Newcastle’s 93rd minute winner was actually bad news for us.

We now turn our attention to Monday night’s intriguing match at the King Power Stadium, where Leicester will return to the top of the table with a win, while Chelsea currently languish in 16th spot – just one point clear of the relegation zone.

Yet bookies still make the away side favourites at best price 7/5 with Paddy Power, while The Foxes can be backed at 12/5 with Betfair and the draw at 5/2 with Bet365.

Quite why anyone would want to back Chelsea at 7/5 (which implies a probability of around 42%), when they have won just 4 of their 15 league games this season (26%) is beyond us. By contrast, Leicester have won 9 of their 15 league games (60%), yet odds of 12/5 imply a probability of under 30%.

In fact, Leicester have only lost one of their 15 league games this season (v Arsenal), so best odds of 7/5 with 888sport in the ‘Draw No Bet’ market look very generous.

We also recommend backing City +0.5 goals on the Asian Handicap at best odds of 5/7 with BetVictor – whereby you win if they either win or draw the game.

Chelsea have lost 8 league games already this season and have only won once on the road (D2, L4), so while winning their last three Champions League group games might point to a recovery of sorts, it’s worth remembering that they won neither of the league games that followed those two previous Champions League wins.

Leicester are the only Premier League side to have scored in every one of their games so far this season, but they have only kept one clean sheet in 7 home games, so we also suggest backing Both Teams To Score at 3/4 with BetVictor or Betfair.

Finally, Jamie Vardy has scored the first goal in four of Leicester’s seven home games this season and is a fair bet at 11/2 with BetVictor to do so again (9/2 elsewhere), but we also think that last week’s hat-trick hero, Riyad Mahrez, should be backed each-way at a huge price of 9/1 with Bet365 (1/3 odds for the place – if he scores).
