This Saturday sees the first of 3 Tests between New Zealand and the British and Irish Lions, and punters are piling into the hosts to win the Lions Tour 2017.
At the end of the Six Nations championship in March, the All Blacks were 2/7 to win the series – a price that was trimmed to 2/9 by June 10th. However, a crushing 78-0 victory over Samoa on Friday at Eden Park, where they scored 12 tries without reply, has convinced fans that the world champions are ready for anything that Warren Gatland’s men can throw at them and they’ve been further cut to a best price of just 1/6 at Bet365 – with the Lions now available at 11/2 with Paddy Power.
The Lions have won three of their five tour matches to date, most notably against the previously unbeaten Crusaders – who they were expected to struggle against.
Owen Farrell kicked all of his side’s points in that game, before suffering an injury in training, but he’s expected to be fit for the first Test in Auckland, which many believe will be the tourists’ best opportunity for victory – they are 4/1 to win there at Bet365.
