Ryder Cup 2016 Betting Latest

ryder-cupAs the 2016 Ryder Cup draws nearer the money continues to flow for a United States victory, with the hosts backed in from 4/5 to a best of 3/5 with BetVictor over the last few months.

From 13/8 a few weeks ago, Europe can now be backed at best odds of 2/1 with Paddy Power (15/8 with most bookies) as they seek to lift the famous trophy for a fourth successive match.

There are a huge range of betting opportunities already available and a raft of special offers certain to follow through the week in the build up to the match at Hazeltine National.

As well as the regular markets, such as Top American and Top European, you can bet on the leading European Rookie, the correct match score and the top overall point scorer – although most bookmakers are waiting for Davis Love III to announce his final pick before pricing this market.

The American team contains only one rookie in Brooks Koepka, while there are no fewer than six in Darren Clarke’s European team, who are bidding to win for the fourth successive match. However, the six veterans in the European team all have outstanding records, with Rory McIlroy, Henrik Stenson, Sergio Garcia, Justin Rose, Lee Westwood and Martin Kaymer all boasting win percentages of greater than 50%.

Rose has the best record, having won nine of his previous 14 Ryder Cup matches and the Olympic champion is a 6/1 chance with Coral to be his side’s leading scorer.
