Phil Mickelson hasn’t made much of an impression this season but he is more than capable of making an impact at the Shell Houston Open, where he was the champion in 2011. Mickelson has since finished 12th, 16th and fourth at this event and as he prepares his bid for a fourth Masters title he should be a shorter price than Coral‘s 35/1.

Lee Westwood is another man who has played well at this venue down the years, finishing no worse than a share of 30th place on his last six appearances. He has managed two top 10s and an 11th place in that time and tied for 17th last year. After six consecutive top 25 finishes on the PGA Tour, Westwood looks a good each-way selection at 40/1, once again with Coral.

Cameron Tringale is one of the lesser known names on the PGA Tour, but he has enjoyed his visits to this venue and looks good at a big price this week. Tringale was well in contention on his first visit here in 2011 before collapsing with an 81 on the final day, but he has since finished eighth, 16th and fourth, suggesting that one poor round was an unfortunate blip. Paddy Power are quoting 70/1 and paying 6 places. Ladbrokes, meanwhile, go 5/2 that Tringale can place in the top 20 for the fourth successive year.
