The TPC at Summerlin in Las Vegas hosts the second event of the PGA Tour season. The par 71, 7,235-yard layout relies on fairway bunkers and the occasional water hazard for protection but has generally been won here with scores of 21-under par and better, so there are plenty of birdies to be made. The defending champion is Ben Martin and other previous winners include Webb Simpson, Ryan Moore and Kevin Na, who lost out to Emiliano Grillo in a play-off at last week’s event.

Rickie Fowler is the headline act this week and several firms have him as their single figure favourite, although he can be backed at 11/1 with Coral. Brooks Koepka is next up in a wide open field at best odds of 20/1, with Na sure to attract plenty of interest at Coral’s price of 28s. Brandt Snedeker, former winner Moore and last week’s champion Grillo are also near the top of the market, all at best odds of 28/1.

Webb SimpsonWEBB SIMPSON finished just inside the top 50 of the FedEx Cup last season and will certainly be hoping to better that this time around – that was his worst performance in five years and he was second back in 2011. His season got off to a strong start here, though, as he finished fourth, having won with rounds of 64-63-67-66 a year earlier. A course specialist, then, he should be backed again this week at 45/1 with Coral.

Kevin StreelmanKEVIN STREELMAN did not enjoy the best of 2014/15 seasons, although he was only five places short of extending his campaign in the FedEx Cup as he finished 75th in the standings. His best result last season was here, finishing as runner-up to Martin to continue a good run at this tournament, having placed 16th and 22nd on his two previous visits. He’s as short as 50/1 with Ladbrokes, but Bet365 are quoting odds of 80/1.

Kevin KisnerLast season was by far the best of KEVIN KISNER’s career as he finished 21st on the FedEx Cup standings, but he was not in the best of form when he came here at the start of the year and finished in a share of 56th. He came on strong towards the end of the season though, when he enjoyed a fine run of results and he can approach this tournament in a better frame of mind – he’s 70/1 with Stan James, who are paying 6 places for each-way bets.
