A Super Sunday of Premier League football awaits us, with the four favourites in the title betting facing each other – starting with Leicester at Arsenal at midday.
Arsenal v Leicester
Sunday 14th February / 12pm
|Under 2.5||Total Goals||11/10||Betfred|
|Leicester (+0.5)||Asian Handicap||13/10||BetVictor|
|Leicester 1-0||Correct Score||17/1||BetVictor|
|Jamie Vardy (ew)||First Goalscorer||13/2||Bet365|
A pivotal match in the Premier League title race as the 9/4 joint-favourites meet at the Emirates.
But it’s Arsenal who are strong favourites to take all three points on Sunday at best price 3/4 with BetVictor, while Leicester can be backed at a huge looking 4/1 with Betfred. The draw is a top priced 31/10 with Bet365.
One of Leicester’s positives in recent weeks is that they have been able to name an unchanged starting 11 in their last five league matches and they certainly have a chance of upsetting the favourites here.
The way the game is likely to be played could suit the away side, as counter-attacking football has proved successful for them this year. However, it would be foolish to under estimate Leicester’s defensive qualities – they have only conceded 14 goals in 13 away matches this season.
Therefore, we can see this being a low scoring affair and our first recommended bet is on Under 2.5 Goals at a best price of 11/10 with Betfred.
We also like the look of Leicester on the Asian Handicap market and suggest taking the 13/10 that BetVictor offer on Leicester (+0.5).
Aston Villa v Liverpool
Sunday 14th February / 2.05pm
|Aston Villa||Double Chance||21/20||888sport|
|Aston Villa 2-1||Correct Score||17/1||BetVictor|
|Gabby Agnonlahor (ew)||First Goalscorer||11/1||Bet365|
|Daniel Sturridge (ew)||First Goalscorer||4/1||Bet365|
Aston Villa, who are rock bottom of the Premier League table, welcome 11th placed Liverpool to Villa Park on Sunday afternoon.
However, Villa have performed better than Liverpool recently and they should arguably be a much shorter price – they have lost just once in their last five games (W2, D2), while Liverpool have won just once in their last six (D2, L3).
Indeed, Liverpool have conceded 14 goals in those last six matches, while Villa have conceded just 3 in their last five and we suggest backing the hosts at 9/2.
We also want to be on Aston Villa in the Double Chance market at a best price of 21/20 with 888sport, which means you will collect if Villa win or draw the game.
Man City v Tottenham
Sunday 14th February / 4.15pm
|Under 2.5||Total Goals||43/40||Bet365|
|Man City 1-0||Correct Score||9/1||Bet365|
|Tottenham 1-0||Correct Score||14/1||Bet365|
|Sergio Aguero (ew)||First Goalscorer||7/2||Paddy Power|
|Harry Kane (ew)||First Goalscorer||11/2||Paddy Power|
|Tottenham (+0.5)||Asian Handicap||7/8||Bet365|
As usual, City have been a dominant force in front of their own fans this season, scoring a league high 34 goals at Eastlands, but Tottenham have been very difficult to beat away from home – losing only once in 12 games on the road.
In fact, Spurs have the best defensive record in the league when playing away from home, having conceded just 10 goals in those 12 games.
With that in mind, and given the prices available, we are once again going to suggest backing Under 2.5 Goals, this time at a best price of 43/40 with Bet365.
We also suggest taking both one nil victories; City to win 1-0 is available at 9/1, while a Spurs 1-0 victory is a top priced 14/1 – again both with Bet365, who also refund losing Correct Score bets on all games that finish 0-0.
Sergio Aguero is in scintillating form, and most of his goals come at home. We see the 7/2 on offer with Paddy Power to score the first goal as good value bet, but we also want to be with Harry Kane, who has scored 15 goals this season, at 11/2.
Finally, we like the look of Spurs on the Asian Handicap getting a half a goal start at 7/8 with Bet365.
