Chelsea are bidding for a record 14th consecutive win in a single top-flight season on Wednesday night at White Hart Lane, televised live on Sky Sports 1 from 8pm.

But Tottenham will be desperate to stop them reaching that milestone, particularly as Chelsea ended their own title bid last season, coming from 2-0 down to draw 2-2.

That was at Stamford Bridge, but Chelsea have a fantastic record against Tottenham home and away – indeed Spurs have only won 4 of their last 49 league meetings.

However, while Tottenham have won just 1 of their last 15 games against Chelsea in all competitions (D7, L7), bookmakers still make them the marginal favourites here.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side can be backed at best odds of 9/5 to win with Sky Bet – just shorter than Antonio Conte’s men at 2/1, with the draw at 11/5.

That is because Spurs are unbeaten at home this season (W7, D2) and have won their last four league games, albeit against sides currently 10th, 11th, 12th and 19th.

Chelsea had drifted to odds of 25/1 with Bet365 in the Premier League betting after consecutive losses to Liverpool and Arsenal back in September, but they have only conceded four goals in those 13 wins since – winning 10 of those matches ‘to nil’.

One thing is for sure, we won’t be backing Spurs to beat Chelsea given their awful head-to-head record in this fixture and the momentum that Chelsea have built up.

But given the hosts have not failed to score here for almost a year (0-1 vs Leicester 13/01/16), we recommend backing the 1-1 at 13/2 with Bet365 (money back if 0-0).

There have been four 1-1’s and two 0-0’s in the last 17 league games between these sides, plus another two 2-2’s – so we also suggest backing the draw at that 11/5.

The most likely goal scorers are Harry Kane (8 goals in his last 9 league games) and Diego Costa (7 goals in his last 9 league games), but Deli Alli has scored 5 in his last 3 league games and at the prices we prefer the midfielder at 3/1 with Unibet to score.
