Manchester City are now 4/6 favourites to win the Premier League after their fifth successive victory when they beat Bournemouth 4-0 on Saturday, but Liverpool are the big movers in the betting after their win at Chelsea on Friday night was followed by Manchester United’s defeat at Watford.
Jurgen Klopp’s side were a 14/1 chance before their win over Leicester last weekend, but are now a best price of 6/1 and second favourites, with Chelsea next up at 10/1.
Liverpool remain five points behind leaders City, but with Pep Guardiola’s side facing some tough Champions League ties in the coming weeks and months, including a double-header against Barca, Liverpool can take full advantage of their additional rest and preparation time and it will be interesting to see what sort of gap there is between the two clubs when they meet at Anfield at New Year.
Remember, City also won their first 5 league games last season but finished fourth.
