Wales are one step from the final and once again they are the outsiders to win, as they have been against Slovakia, England, Russia and Belgium in this competition.

Despite their 3-1 Quarter-Final win over Belgium (ranked no. 2 in the world), Chris Coleman’s side can be backed at 16/5 with Stan James to beat Portugal in Lyon.

The Portuguese are 6/5 favourites to win in 90 minutes, despite not having done so in five attempts so far (3 draws in the group, then extra-time & penalty wins).

They are also 8/15 favourites to qualify for the final, with Wales at 13/8 with Coral.

Wales will certainly miss playmaker Aaron Ramsey and defender Ben Davies due to suspension, but William Carvalaho is also suspended for Portugal, while their influential centre-back Pepe is doubtful – and his loss could be the most telling.

It is difficult to understand why Portugal are such strong favourites – they have scored half as many goals in regular time (5 compared to 10), so we recommend snapping up that 16/5 on Wales to win for a fifth time in six games at Euro 2016.

Also, take the 10/13 with BetVictor on Wales (+0.5) on the Asian Handicap market.

Much will be made about Bale v Ronaldo (5 goals between them so far) and Bale offers more appeal at 11/2 with Paddy Power to score first than Ronaldo at 16/5.

But Ronaldo scored twice at this stadium against Hungary and so it is hard to ignore best odds of 9/4 with BetVictor for him to score at any time in the match.

Finally, we suggest chancing a couple of high scoring Correct Scores – back the 3-1 and 3-2 Wales wins at best odds of 50/1 and 70/1 respectively with BetVictor.
