Rory McIlroy has a fine record at the Wells Fargo Championship and took the title in 2010, but he’s a short favourite at best odds of 7/2 (Stan James) and with everyone else available at 20/1 or greater, there must be some each-way value elsewhere.

Take Kevin Kisner for example, who continued his hot streak with a share of second place at the Players to follow his runners-up spot at the Heritage. He is 48-under-par for the last three tournaments, suggesting that he’s more than capable of putting together a run of birdies. Add to that the fact that he tied for sixth here last year and he looks a good bet at 40s with Bet365Stan James and Ladbrokes.

Kevin Streelman needs to refocus to prove that his share of 12th at the Masters was no fluke and this could be the ideal opportunity for him to do just that. Streelman has finished 14th and sixth in the last two years at Quail Hollow and that’s the sort of record which suggests he enjoys this track and should be shorter than the 100/1 on offer from Stan James (who offer 6 places for each-way bets on this event).

We backed Ryan Moore at the Players last weekend only for him to miss the cut, but we’ll be sticking with him this week as he looks to continue a fine record at Quail Hollow. Moore is enjoying a good season and is 14th in the FedEx Cup standings and his last four results at this venue read 33-5-6-18. That shows he’s well suited to this layout and although like Streelman he needs to get back on track after a good performance at Augusta, he looks too big at 50/1 with BetVictor.

There is televised coverage of all four days action on SkySports 4, starting at 8pm on Thursday and Friday and 6pm on Saturday and Sunday.
