Bryson Dechambeau has been cut to win The Masters after powering to victory at the Dubai Desert Classic on Sunday.
The brilliant young American posted a blistering final round of 64 to win by seven shots and show exactly why he was the 10/1 pre-tournament favourite at the Emirates Club.
It was a fourth win in his last nine starts for Dechambeau, who warned his opponents in the run-up to the event that he has some way to go before he perfects his unique scientific approach to the game. Perfect or not, his style is certainly producing results – he won four times in 2018 and many are expecting 2019 to be the year he makes his breakthrough in the majors.
His price has been trimmed across the board ahead of his third appearance at Augusta, with BetVictor now offering best odds of 20/1.*
Most firms have also cut his price for this summer’s Open Championship, with Paddy Power quoting best odds of 28/1*.
