AJ Drifts After Points Win Over Parker

A world heavyweight unification match between Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder took a step closer with the Londoner’s win over Joseph Parker in Cardiff on Saturday, but Joshua’s odds have drifted slightly after he was forced to rely on a unanimous points decision against the Kiwi. Although he was unable to secure the knockout most punters would have wanted, Joshua’s dominance of the fight was clear from the judges’ scorecards, which read 118-110, 118-110 & 119-109.

However, having been available last week at a best price of 4/9 to defeat Wilder, AJ has been pushed out by Paddy Power to 4/7 – with the American quoted at 15/8 by Bet365.

Joshua added Parker’s WBO title to his WBA and IBF belts at the Principality Stadium and afterwards his promoter Barry Hearn said he would go after Wilder’s WBC crown later in the year, with talks set to begin this week.
