Only one point separates the four teams battling for the two available places in the top four in the Premier League after wins for Manchester United and Chelsea and a defeat for Tottenham over the weekend.
With Arsenal not in action until Monday night, when they take on Newcastle United at the Emirates, United moved back into fourth place with a 2-1 win over Watford in the first game since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was confirmed as their new manager on a three-year contract.
Solskjaer’s side are behind Tottenham only on goal difference following the London club’s 2-1 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield, but it is the Gunners who are now the favourites to secure a place in next season’s Champions League thanks to their game in hand.
Unai Emery’s men sit in fifth place, one point behind United but with a superior goal difference. BetVictor are offering 8/13* that they go on to finish in the top four.
Paddy Power go 8/11* about Spurs, who open their new White Hart Lane stadium with a game against Crystal Palace on Wednesday. United are at 6/5* with Bet365 and Chelsea, who secured a controversial 2-1 win at Cardiff on Sunday, are currently the 2/1* outsiders with Betfred.
