West Brom are the new favourites to win the Championship after their 3-2 victory at Preston took them to the top of the table.
The Baggies are a best price of 5/2* with William Hill after recording their third successive win to move a point clear of Leeds, who drew at Sheffield Wednesday on Friday night.
Middlesbrough, who were held to a draw by Hull, and Sheff United, who won 3-2 at Millwall, are also a point back of the new leaders.
Albion were stunned by Bolton on the opening day, before drawing at Forest, but have since won six times in eight games.
Their success has been driven by the goalscoring prowess of their strike partnership of Jay Rodriguez and Dwight Gayle, who were both on target at Deepdale to take their combined tally for the season to 13 goals.
Only Brentford’s Neal Maupay, with nine, has scored more Championship goals than Rodriguez’s total of seven, and the Bees striker is the 7/2 market leader with William Hill to end the campaign as the division’s leading scorer.
Gayle and Rodriguez can each be backed at 5/1*, Gayle with BetVictor and Rodriguez with most firms.
Next up for West Brom is a visit to Hillsborough on Wednesday for a match which is live on Sky Sports. Leeds, Boro and Sheffield United all have away games in midweek, visiting Ipswich, Hull and Blackburn respectively.
