Chelsea’s Eden Hazard is the firm favourite to win the PFA Player of the Year award following his blistering start to what could be his final season with the club.
The Belgium forward has scored seven goals in eight Premier League appearances so far this season, including a hat-trick in the 4-1 defeat of Cardiff, and is the only player with odds in single figures in the betting market.
William Hill are offering best odds of 7/4* that Hazard wins the award for the second time, having also won in the 2014/15 season when Chelsea won the title by 8 points.
There was speculation during the summer that the 27-year-old would seek to follow manager Antonio Conte and goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois out of Stamford Bridge, but he has stayed in London to produce a string of magical moments in the first two months of the campaign.
However, he admitted last week that he still dreams of a move to Real Madrid, raising the prospect that he could leave for the Spanish capital in next summer’s transfer window.
