Man City have been trimmed to best price 4/6* to win the Premier League after Sunday’s goalless draw with Liverpool at Anfield left them top of the table on goal difference.
William Hill, Paddy Power and Betfred are the three bookmakers offering the best odds that Pep Guardiola’s side go on to successfully defend their title after getting through to the second international break undefeated.
City have an identical record to Liverpool and Chelsea, whose 3-0 win at Southampton earlier in the day had briefly put them in top spot. The visitors had the best of a disappointing encounter on Merseyside, although their superiority was largely territorial with few clear chances created by either side.
Their two best opportunities both fell to Riyad Mahrez, who pulled a shot on the turn just wide before blazing a late penalty high over the crossbar. After maintaining their unbeaten start to the campaign, Liverpool are now a best price of 5/2* with BetVictor and Paddy Power in the title betting, with Chelsea at 9/1* with Bet365.
Eden Hazard scored again for the Blues at St Mary’s and the Belgium forward has been cut to a best price of 6/1* with Paddy Power to finish the season as the Premier League’s top goalscorer.
