Wolves became the first team in the Premier League era to name the same starting XI for their first eight matches of the season – and they are reaping the rewards for their consistency having extended their unbeaten run to 6 games.
Nuno’s side, who romped to the Championship title last season, have adapted immediately to the demands of the top flight and were impressive once again as they won 1-0 at Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Matt Doherty’s second half goal gave them a fourth win, and fourth clean sheet, in five league games with the other being the 1-1 draw at Manchester United, where they might have nicked all three points.
They return after the international break with a home game against Watford and will be odds-on favourites to pick up another victory, while back-to-back games against Tottenham and Arsenal at the start of November will tell us more about their top six credentials.
