Djokovic 9/4 To Add French Open Crown

Novak Djokovic has been backed in to a best price of 9/4* at Bet365 to win the French Open after thrashing Rafael Nadal in the final of the Australian Open.

The brilliant Serb earned a record seventh title in Melbourne, and a third successive Grand Slam victory, with a 6-3 6-2 6-3 in a one-sided final.

Djokovic has now won 17 consecutive sets against Nadal on hard-courts, although this was the first time that Nadal has failed to win a single set in a Slam final.

Prior to the final, Djokovic had been a 7/2 chance with several bookmakers for the French Open in May. However, he will now go to Roland Garros with the opportunity to steal Nadal’s crown and hold all four Grand Slams.

Nadal remains the odds-on favourite to win in Paris, where he has been so dominant over the years. William Hill and BetVictor are offering the 11-time champion at best odds of 10/11*.

Djokovic, who now has a total of 15 Grand Slam titles to his name, has won the French Open only once, beating Andy Murray in the final in 2016. He has lost in the final three times, including two defeats to Nadal.
