Leinster v Bath

bt-sport1 Saturday 4th April / 4.15pm

Leinster scored narrow home wins over both Wasps and Harlequins in the pool stage and now arguably face a tougher test against Bath, who sit third in the Aviva Premiership. It’s Leinster who have the recent European pedigree, with Bath’s sole European Cup success coming back in 1998, but the visitors are resurgent and having seen off Pro 12 leaders Glasgow in their pool they can certainly compete against a team who are currently fifth in that league.

However, the home advantage is the key here and Leinster, a best price of 8/13 in the match betting with Stan James and Winner, have the edge at the Aviva Stadium. Take the Irish province in the handicap betting, with Stan James, Winner and Titanbet offering 10/11 that they will by more than three points.

Clermont Auvergne v Northampton

Sky-Sports-2 Saturday 4th April / 6.45pm

The second quarter-final sees Premiership champions Northampton visit Clermont Auvergne. It’s a daunting trip at the best of times but the Saints, who also lead this season’s Premiership, will be without Wales star George North after he was concussed for the third time this term in last week’s win over Wasps.

Clermont thrashed Sale and beat Saracens by 12 points in their pool, but should find the going tougher against Northampton. Back the visitors to win with the nine-point start offered by Stan James (just 7 or 8 points with other bookmakers).

Racing Metro v Saracens

BT-Sport-2 Sunday 5th April / 1.45pm

Racing Metro qualified for the quarter-finals by topping Northampton’s pool and beat the English champions by nine points in the first round of matches. That should be warning enough for Saracens ahead of their trip to Paris, where Racing have lost only once this season, having beaten Toulon and drawn with Clermont.

Ireland’s 6 Nations-winning fly-half Jonny Sexton is the star man in the Racing line-up and his kicking could be the key. Racing with a minus 4 start is the pick, with Bet365, Ladbrokes or Coral.

Toulon v Wasps

Sky-Sports-2 Sunday 5th April / 4.15pm

Wasps’ reward for battling through to the last eight is a trip to Toulon, the defending champions who are in search of a hat-trick of European titles. Wasps were well beaten at Premiership leaders Northampton last weekend to continue a mediocre away record, while Toulon are especially strong playing at home.

They beat Leicester by 15 points in the pool stage and can go beyond that here. Paddy Power, William HillWinner and Titanbet are all offering 10/11 that they do.
