Fury Opts For Routine Work-Out On Return

Paddy Power have made former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury a 1/500 shot to win his first fight in almost 3 years when he returns to the ring against Sefer Seferi in Manchester next month.

The 29-year-old, who has not fought since defeating Wladimir Klitschko in November 2015 to take the IBF, WBA and WBO titles, has opted to ease back into action after his backdated two-year ban for ‘anti-doping and medical issues’ ended.

Seferi, a 39-year-old Albanian, has lost only one of his 24 professional bouts but has spent the majority of his career fighting at cruiserweight and will take on Fury at heavyweight. Fury’s aim is to build up towards an all-British title fight with Anthony Joshua, who has claimed the IBF, IBO, WBA and WBO belts during Fury’s absence from the ring.

Should that match be made, bookmakers rate Joshua the marginal favourite, with Paddy Power offering the Londoner at best odds of 4/5. Fury is 11/8 at William Hill.
