Pep Guardiola has his first trophy in English football after his Manchester City side cruised to a 3-0 Carabao Cup final victory over Arsenal to claim their third win in five years in that competition. With the Premier League title seemingly in the bag – City hold a 13-point lead with Thursday’s game against Arsenal in hand on all of their rivals – they now have their sights set on a treble, following their 4-0 first leg win over Basel in the Champions League. City are the favourites to win their second European trophy, at best odds of 10/3 with Bet365, with Barcelona and Bayern Munich both at 5/1 and the holders Real Madrid at 6/1 with BetVictor.
Like City and Liverpool, Bayern have one foot firmly in the quarter-finals, while Barcelona will fancy their chances of completing a two-leg victory over Chelsea after their 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge. Tottenham and Manchester United both have plenty of work to do in their home legs against Juventus and Sevilla respectively, with Spurs in the strongest position thanks to their two away goals in Turin. Liverpool are a 10/1 chance with Betfred, with Spurs rated as the Premier League’s third best hope at 14/1 across the board.
