Leinster are the firm favourites to win rugby union’s European Champions Cup after dismantling Scarlets in their semi-final in Dublin on Saturday. The Irish province, who scooped European rugby’s top prize three times in four seasons between 2009 and 2012, ran in five tries on their way to a comprehensive 38-16 victory.
They will meet Racing 92 on May 12th after the French club overcame Munster 27-22 in Sunday’s second semi-final, thanks largely to a superb first-half display in Bordeaux.
Teddy Thomas scored two early tries to set the Parisians on their way and they held firm to prevent an all-Irish final in Bilbao. Leinster are a best price of 4/11 with William Hill to win their fourth final, while Racing 92 can be backed at 5/2 to lift the trophy with Bet365. Racing have played in only one previous final – when they were beaten 21-9 by Saracens in 2016.
