Real Madrid are at 8/11 across the board to win the Champions League after seeing off Bayern Munich in a tense semi-final on Tuesday. The Spanish giants have lifted the trophy in three of the last four seasons, but they were second best for much of their tie against Bayern and can count themselves fortunate to have reached the final.
Their opponents in Kiev, Liverpool, will be competing in their eighth Champions League or European Cup final and will have seen elements in Real’s performance against both Bayern and Juventus in the quarter-finals that will give them great confidence in Ukraine.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are the highest scorers by some distance in this season’s competition, with their tally of 40 goals being 10 more than Real’s second highest total, and while Cristiano Ronaldo may be the highest individual scorer with 15, Liverpool’s attacking trio of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane occupy the next three places in the scoring charts with 10, 10 and nine goals respectively. The previous time these two clubs met in the European Cup final, in Paris in 1981, Liverpool won 1-0. They can be backed at 15/1 with BetVictor to repeat that scoreline, while they are currently 21/10 at Betfred to win in 90 minutes.
