United are big outsiders to beat Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday, at odds of 9/4 generally. To put that price in context, in the last five seasons they have been 6/4, 5/4, 7/10, 4/11 and 4/5 for this fixture.

But there are reasons to be with United here. Arsenal are in the middle of two Champions League legs against Barca and there is little question that their legs will be weary having had so little possession at the Emirates on Tuesday night.

The Gunners are also on a poor run of form away from home – they have only won two of their last seven league away matches (D3, L2).

Finally, it must be noted that United have not lost to Arsenal in their last eight league games at Old Trafford, so that 9/4 looks too big a price to miss, while we also suggest backing United getting a half a goal start at 11/17 with BetVictor.

Famously, this fixture finished 8-2 four seasons ago, but this is likely to be a much more cagey affair – United have scored just 15 goals in their 12 home games this season and conceded just 5.

Old Trafford has seen just five first half goals in those 12 games and yet another 0-0 half-time scoreline would be no surprise at best odds of 13/8.

In fact, we will go the whole hog and also suggest backing No Goalscorer at 15/2.

Not only have 4 of United’s 12 home games finished 0-0 this season, but you also win if the game finishes 1-0 or 0-1 courtesy of an own goal – which means that this bet would have won in 5 out of those 12 games at Old Trafford (42%).
