Manchester City have won on each of their last three visits to Old Trafford with an aggregate score of 11 goals to 3, which includes a 3-0 win here last season.

But the bookmakers have Manchester United as slight favourites on Sunday, with Louis van Gaal’s side available at best odds of 13/8 (BetVictor, Coral, Ladbrokes), while you can get 19/10 on City (Bet365) and 5/2 on the draw (Sky Bet, William Hill).

Incredibly, Manuel Pellegrini’s side have lost five of their last seven competitive matches, including against Crystal Palace last Monday, as well as to Burnley and Liverpool before that – all three of those games were away from the Etihad Stadium and there must be a huge doubt about them winning at Old Trafford on Sunday.

We therefore like the look of backing United in the Draw No Bet market at best odds of 5/6 with BetVictor, especially as United have won each of their last 5 league games and also their last 5 league games at home.

Many will expect a high scoring game on Sunday and the odds reflect that, so this could be the perfect time to back a low scoring game between these two sides – we certainly think that ‘Under 2.5 Goals’ is overpriced at 21/10 with BetVictor.

Wayne Rooney has scored eight times against City during his career and he is good goalscoring form at present, while Sergio Aguero has scored four goals in his last three matches against United –  both players can be backed to score first at stand-out odds of 7/1 with Ladbrokes.

Finally, it would not be a surprise if this game finished 1-1 (take the 6/1 with BetVictor) and we suggest backing both 1-0’s with Betfred – as that firm refund losing Correct Score stakes on all televised matches that finish 1-1.
