Several bookmakers have made Norwich City the new favourites to win the Championship after they claimed top spot with their 3-1 win at Leeds on Saturday evening.
The Canaries were full value for their win, which they secured with two goals from Mario Vrancic and a third from their 18-goal top scorer Teemu Pukki.
Leeds had been top of the table before suffering their fourth defeat in six league matches and they remain the market leaders with some firms in what is becoming an extremely fascinating race for promotion to the Premier League.
Ladbrokes and Coral make Norwich the 6/4* favourites in the title betting, with Leeds, who are now second on goal difference, available at best odds of 7/4* with Bet365, William Hill and Betfred. Sheffield United are in third place, three points off the pace, after their comfortable home win over struggling Bolton.
The Blades can be backed at 9/2* with Bet365, Ladbrokes, Paddy Power, Coral and Betfred. Chris Wilder’s side are in action on Friday night when they visit Aston Villa, while Leeds go to fifth-placed Middlesbrough on Saturday lunchtime.
West Brom make the short journey to Stoke on Saturday evening, before Norwich host local rivals Ipswich, the division’s bottom club, at noon on Sunday.
