The New England Patriots will be the marginal favourites when they compete in their third successive Super Bowl and fourth in five seasons this weekend.
Super Bowl LIII takes place at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta and sees the Patriots take on the Los Angeles Rams.
The Patriots have won American Football’s top prize on five occasions, all of them under the guidance of their 66-year-old coach Bill Belichick.
It’s a record tally for a coach, with Belichick’s first title coming in Super Bowl XXXVI, when the Patriots beat the Rams, who were then based in St Louis.
Veteran quarterback Tom Brady played in that game and will start once again next Sunday for the favourites – who can be backed at best odds of 10/13* with Betfred.
The Rams finished their season with a 13-3 record before defeating the Dallas Cowboys and the New Orleans Saints to qualify for Sunday’s showpiece. They are available at a best price of 13/11* with Unibet.
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has won the MVP award on four of their five Super Bowl wins, including their last two, while the MVP award has gone to the victorious quarterback in seven of the last ten Super Bowl’s.
Brady is 11/10 for MVP, whilst Rams quarterback is a best of 9/4 – both with Unibet.
