As Premier League and Championship clubs took the weekend off, Portsmouth and Lincoln maintained their pace at the top of Leagues One and Two on Saturday.
Pompey were 2-1 winners at AFC Wimbledon to remain three points clear at the top of League One, while Lincoln thrashed Port Vale 6-2 in the Potteries to hold on to their four-point advantage in League Two.
The Imps, who were promoted from the National League two years ago before missing out in last season’s play-offs, are the 11/10* favourites with Coral to win the League Two title with bookmakers rating them as the best team in the section.
Portsmouth, however, are only the third favourites to claim the League One title, with Barnsley leading the betting at best odds of 6/4* with Betfred.
Barnsley were 3-2 winners over Luton in an entertaining match on Saturday lunchtime, despite the absence through injury of their leading scorer Kieffer Moore.
Ante-post favourites Sunderland, who were not in action this weekend, are second in the betting at best odds of 3/1* with Bet365 and Paddy Power. A £10 double on the two current divisional leaders would return odds of 10/1* with Bet365.
