In the week that he became Manchester City’s all-time leading goalscorer with his strike against Napoli in the Champions League, Sergio Aguero also moved level at the top of the Premier League scoring charts with Harry Kane.
Both men have eight goals apiece, but Kane – who has won the Golden Boot in each of the last two seasons – is the 9/5 favourite with Paddy Power to take the prize again, with Aguero at 9/2 with Bet365.
The reason for the discrepancy in those prices is that Kane is a certain starter for Tottenham, while City have more attacking options and Aguero will at times find himself on the bench. However, Pep Guardiola’s side have scored more goals in their first 11 games than any other team in the Premier League era – 38 in all – and show no sign of letting up, so the goals will surely keep on coming for the Argentine.
Romelu Lukaku, one of five players on 7 goals, is out to 11/2 with Paddy Power after extending his goal drought at Chelsea, where Alvaro Morata notched his seventh of the season. Morata is at 10/1 with Paddy Power. Gabriel Jesus also moved on to seven and is a 13/2 chance across the board, while Mo Salah is at 40/1 with Bet365 after scoring his sixth and seventh of the campaign in Liverpool’s rout of West Ham.
Raheem Sterling is the other man on seven goals – he’s a 40/1 chance with Betfred.
