Liverpool remain the odds-on favourites to win the Premier League title despite their 2-1 defeat at Manchester City which cut their lead at the top to four points.
Having been unbeaten in their first 20 games of the season, Jurgen Klopp’s side succumbed to strikes from Sergio Aguero and Leroy Sane, with Roberto Firmino levelling for the visitors in between.
In a tight game of fine margins, Liverpool were 11 millimetres away from an opening goal when John Stones cleared off the line, Vincent Kompany was fortunate to escape a red card and Mohamed Salah forced Ederson into a fine finger-tip save in the closing stages.
Despite their defeat, Liverpool still hold the upper hand in the title race and they showed enough in a high quality game to suggest they will not let too many points slip over the next few months.
Bet365 and Coral are offering odds of 5/6* that they go on to earn their first title since 1990, while City are a best price of 13/10* with Paddy Power to make it back-to-back crowns under Pep Guardiola.
