Rocket 5/2 For World Title

Ronnie O’Sullivan is the 5/2* favourite with Bet365 and William Hill to win the World Snooker Championship as other leading contenders struggle for form.

O’Sullivan, who returned to the top of the world rankings for the first time in nine years when he won the Tour Championship a fortnight ago, will be looking to secure a sixth world title when the action gets under way at The Crucible in Sheffield on April 20th.

Having won a 7th UK Championship title at the end of last year, O’Sullivan also won the Players Championship in March, beating Neil Robertson 10-4 in the final.

Judd Trump, John Higgins and Mark Williams all suffered first round defeats at last week’s China Open, while defending champion and former world number one Mark Selby was beaten by world number 92 Craig Steadman in the qualifying round.

Trump is the 5/1* second favourite for the world title with Paddy Power and BetVictor, with Robertson available at 7/1* with Paddy Power.
