The highlight of this week’s third round of matches in the Uefa Champions League is undoubtedly Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to Old Trafford as Manchester United face Juventus on Tuesday night.
United began their campaign with a comfortable win over Young Boys in Switzerland, before being held to a frustrating goalless draw by Valencia in front of a lifeless home crowd.
However, the atmosphere promises to be electric this week as Ronaldo returns with Juventus, who are looking for their third straight win in the competition.
The last time the Portuguese star visited Old Trafford it was to score the decisive goal for Real Madrid in a tight last 16 tie in March 2013.
Real failed to go all the way that season, but Ronaldo has lifted the trophy with the Spanish giants in four of five years since then.
Juve are warm favourites to win on Tuesday, with United a best price of 12/5* with Paddy Power. Ronaldo, who has scored five goals in 10 games so far since moving to Italy, can be backed at 6/4* with Ladbrokes to get on the scoresheet again.
