Sterling Backed For PFA Award

Raheem Sterling has been cut to a best price of 9/1* with Paddy Power to win the PFA Player of the Year award after his hat-trick in Man City’s 3-1 win over Watford on Saturday.

The England forward took his tally for the season to 15 in the Premier League and 20 in all competitions with his quick-fire second-half treble, although the first of them should have been ruled out for offside.

Sergio Aguero remains City’s leading contender for the award having scored 18 times in the league so far this season, but Liverpool’s impeccable centre half Virgil van Dijk continues to lead the betting at best price 1/2* with Bet365.

The Dutch international has been one of the key reasons behind Liverpool’s 17 clean sheets in the league this season and contributed a couple of goals in the 5-0 thrashing of Watford last month.
