Liverpool beat managerless Swansea 5-0 at Anfield on Boxing Day, but Carlos Carvalhal’s side should put up more of a fight at the Liberty Stadium on Monday.
Swansea have lost only once in five games since Carvalhal succeeded Paul Clement, albeit two of those games were against Championship leaders Wolves in the FA Cup.
His first task is to get the Swans scoring at home – they have just six goals in 11 home league games at the Liberty so far this season, with just 2 wins here (D2, L7).
The Reds may have conceded 21 goals on the road this season (only four teams have conceded more), but Virgil van Dijk is likely to make his league debut and the record signing should shore things up for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
It’s really hard to see anything other than an away win, and so we’ll concentrate on the Correct Score market where the 2-0 and 3-0 away wins appeal at 6/1 and 15/2 respectively at Bet365, who refund losing Correct Score bets on games that end 0-0.
Roberto Firmino scored twice against Swansea last month at Anfield and now has five goals in his last three league games against the Swans – back the Brazilian at 6/5 to score a goal here and at 8/1 ‘to score 2 or more’ goals, both with Paddy Power.
