There were more twists and turns at the top of the Championship over the weekend, with Norwich hitting the summit for the first time with a dramatic win over Millwall. The Canaries were 3-2 down going into the closing minutes, but scored twice in a prolonged period of stoppage time to earn their fifth straight league win.
Middlesbrough are second after strolling to victory over Wigan, while West Brom are up to fifth place after thrashing title favourites Leeds at the Hawthorns.
Another team to produce an eye-catching result were Albion’s local rivals Aston Villa, who were 3-0 winners at previously in-form Derby. It was only a second win in nine away league games for Villa, but they were much the better side at Pride Park as they followed up their 2-0 win over Bolton. There’s no doubt that Villa have a talented squad and there’s plenty of time for them to get into the promotion shake-up if they can continue to build some momentum. They are four points outside the play-off places after 17 games and can be backed at 6/1* with BetVictor to end the season by winning promotion.
