Weekend Premier League Tips

There are three televised Premier League games this weekend, starting on Saturday lunchtime at Stamford Bridge, followed by two games on Sunday.

Chelsea are 11/10 favourites to beat Liverpool on Saturday, but it’s the Reds we are interested in at a best price of 29/10 with BetVictor.

The Blues have lost five of their ten league games so far this season, twice here, while Liverpool have drawn on two of their last three visits – and with that in mind, we also suggest backing Liverpool-Draw on the Double Chance at 4/5 with Bet365 and getting half a goal start on the Asian Handicap line with BetVictor at 6/7.

Finally, we suggest backing Philippe Coutinho in the First Goalscorer market – the Brazilian is always a threat in these big games with his eye for a long range shot and he looks a little big at 11/1 with Bet365 to score the first goal – take that each-way (1/3 odds for the ‘place’ – if your player scores at any time in the game).

Everton v Sunderland

Jermain Defoe (ew)First Goalscorer11/1Bet365

Sunderland will be in a better frame of mind coming into this game having lifted themselves off the bottom of the Premier League table with a 3-0 home win against Newcastle last weekend.

The Black Cats have only won one league game on the road in 2015 (D5, L9) – but that win was here in May, when they won 2-0. In fact, they have won on their last two visits to Goodison Park, while Everton have only won one of their five games here so far this season (D2, L2).

We therefore think that it is worth siding with the visitors on the Asian Handicap getting a one goal start at 11/10 with Bet365 (so you only lose if Everton win by two clear goals – money back if they lose by one).

Last season Jermain Defoe was on the scoresheet in this fixture and we suggest backing him to score the first goal at a huge looking 11/1 with Bet365 (each-way).

Southampton v Bournemouth

Graziano Pelle (ew)First Goalscorer4/1Bet365

Bournemouth make the relatively short trip to St Mary’s on Sunday to face a side who have only lost one of their last eight league matches.

By contrast, the visitors have lost both of their last two league games 5-1 (away at Man City and at home to Tottenham) and have conceded 13 times in their last four away matches.

With Southampton the 4th highest scoring team at home so far this season it would be no surprise to see them running away with this one and we suggest backing them to be winning at both half-time and full-time at best odds of 6/4 with BetVictor (Bournemouth have been losing at half-time in each of their last five defeats).

The top Saints league goalscorer this season is Graziano Pelle with five goals and he looks attractively priced at 4/1 with Bet365 to score the first goal (again each-way).
