Rob Cross 7/2 For Premier League

The newly-crowned PDC world champion Rob Cross is the 7/2 second favourite to win the 2018 Unibet Premier League Darts title. The competition, which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports, gets under way in Dublin on February 1st and will visit 14 venues in the UK and Ireland as well as taking in stops in Berlin and Rotterdam.

Two-time world champion Michael van Gerwen, who lost out to Cross in the semi-finals at Alexandra Palace at New Year, is the 10/11 market leader with William Hill as he bids for a third successive title and a fourth in all. The Dutch world number one has appeared in each of the last five finals and will take some stopping over a 16-week season. Gary Anderson, the 2015 Premier League champion, is the 11/2 third favourite with Bet365 and Coral, with Peter Wright a 9/1 chance with Betfred.

The only other former champion in the 10-man field is Raymond van Barneveld – the 2014 winner is available at best odds of 40/1 with Ladbrokes.
